#817 Doing something half-assed at the last minute and totally getting away with it

I put a lot of work into this

Just look at this adorable little rascal with his tiny puppy paw stuck in the toilet paper roll and all.

AWESOME!

  1. Neil, I’m shocked at you. This is a totally half-assed post with absolutely no point and just a picture of… of a… a REALLY cute dog. Okay, it kind works, so…

Heeeey. I see what you did there. HURR HURR. :D

  2. I sooo did not even see that toilet paper roll on the dogs leg and the picture was the first thing I looked at. Looks like he’s got a peg leg.
I do my work half assed all the time. I wonder sometimes how I still have a job. I’ve just gotten so lazy over the years and they just keep piling things on top of me to do.

    1. I didn’t see the tp tube at first either. It’s such a cute puppy peg leg! LOL! Wonder how it would work on my cat? hmmmm….

    2. those t papers are transparent having such of a good quality that u can able to see it from your necked eyes ….

  3. Today’s a snow day for me, so doing things half-assed fits well with my plan. I’d intended to get loads done while home today and have barely gotten any work done at all. It’s pretty awesome to have a half-assed day! So, enjoy your half-assed post, Neil, cuz we all need blow-off days. Besides, the puppy IS darn cute and it DOES have its leg stuck in the tp tube, so what more can ya say really?!

    1. Yesterday was totally a half assed kind of day. I did the bare minimum at work, left early because Lilly was sick, gave her meds when we got home and she went to sleep for the rest of the day. Then me and Zach just sat and watched tv. I made no attempt to clean or cook or give baths or anything. I made Zach a PB&J sandwhich and he was happy with it.

  4. Oh, the tiny wee pirate dog! I love when you can get away with doing something at the last minute and especially when it’s a, pardon my French, half-assed attempt. Anyway, I think it’s almost equally satisfying as doing a really good job on something after working really hard on it, only it’s less work! I kind of did this all the time in grade 9, but I didn’t get away with it that often. C’est la vie.

  5. Here is a hilarious and brilliant moment from my favorite TV Series “Quite Interesting”

“Put smarties tubes on cats legs make them walk like a robot”

By the way. Totally managed to do that for my Mum’s birthday. Created the lovliest Cat poster for my mum with very little effort. And I even have the theory that too much love and effort hinders a project. Because you get too worked up.

Same with cooking. If I just improvise or do somethoing I’m good at in a very leisurely fashion i.e. with a tall glass of red wine and some opera tunes on my lips it usually turns out much more delicious than when I get all worked up and have my head stuck in a cooking book.

  6. Thank to you doctor Deva lakshmantemple@gmail.com for helping me to get back my happiness after many years in trying to get a baby and even my mother in law want me out of my husband house because of not been able to give birth to a child for her son until you cast a spell for me and told me that i was going to get pregnant i never believe i was going to be able to get pregnant until now i want to say big thanks to you Dr.Deva i was put to bed last month and so i am happy to tell people about your work.

  7. I very seldom clean like I used to and have very good excuses for it too! So I take total advantage of using some of the new fangled products out there to help with my half-assed house-work, such as lysol wipes and LOVE to whip through the house like magic with my telescopic handled swiffer duster! Then in my defense for having used not so environmentally friendly vices, my 2 pound vaccuum hits the area rugs but not the landfill with a bag…”HET”, my vaccuum has a handy little cannister! And in the spring/ summertime I’ve even spread the fill around the yard for to help birds make their nests with some of the stuff and things within! One time I found Robin’s nest lined with our dogs hair, cozy and warm for the babies…I felt I’d really done my half-assed part for the world.
    “Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, Hall-e-lu-jahhhhh!”
    :)

    1. I’m a big fan of the Swiffer products, but mostly because I can give them to my kids and they can easily use them. Zach loves to use the duster and the mop and Lilly likes to use the sweeper.
