#776 When you’re watching one of your favorite movies and you realize you don’t remember how it ends

grab-a-bite-and-have-a-seatYou know the feeling.

Your favorite characters are introduced, the story kicks off, but then a couple plot twists and turns seem a bit unfamiliar. Suddenly it dawns on you: you have no clue how the movie wraps up. No, you can’t remember who the killer is, who dies, or if the cats ever get married. You can’t remember the ending at all and you’re loving every minute of it.

Yes, you dim the lights, snuggle under the blanket, shush up your chatty husband, and stay glued to that screen.

Because it’s like hey, guaranteed blockbuster.

AWESOME!

  1. It’s even more awesome when you THINK you know how it ends, and then it turns out you’re wrong, so it turns into a sudden twist ending.

Also… Cats getting married? I wonder what the chances are that this is a plot point in a movie somewhere…

  2. Nailed 3 old movie selections last week:
    The Children of HUang Shi
    Something the Lord Made
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

Trust me, the ending’s will touch your heart and soul, you will remember them to eternity!
Wait, isn’t there a movie called A Horse named Eternity, or something like that? I think I must see that movie! And if ever I shold have a horse, I shall call her Eternity, and the ending to the Heroine’s Journey will be Happily Ever After, Eternally. The End.

  3. There are a lot of times that I’ll be watching a movie that I’ve seen before, but I don’t remember watching but I only remember stuff while its happening. Its super easy for me to do these days since my memory is almost nonexisitant. Its like watching it for the first time!

    1. This is true. The older you get, the more movies you can watch again for the first time. Same with jokes.

      1. This just happened this weekend with the movie, “Sea BIscuit!” I could hardly believe, the only part rang a bell, was when his jockey, Red Pollard was shovelling mashed potatoes into his mouth! And I’m still wondering, “Why, oh why Lord, is this the only part I remembered?”

        1. I just discovered the answer to the mashed potato scene: It’s an intimate moment; connection, acceptance and love is the reason…

  4. Yeah! This doesn’t happen that often, but it’s always awesome when it does. Sometimes if I’m watching a movie from a series, like Lord of the Rings or something, I’ll end up getting scenes mixed up, thinking one part was from the previous movie, but it’s actually in the movie that I am currently watching. That always blows my mind.

  5. Movies?!! Did Neil mention movies?! My favorite topic! “All of life’s riddles are answered in the movies.” Did I mention that line before? LOL!

  6. I truly enjoy reading on this website , it has got good posts . “The great secret of power is never to will to do more than you can accomplish.” by Henrik Ibsen.
