falling asleep in class and drooling all over your test

when the free bread at restaurants is fantastic, and free refills on it

the smell of recently printed paper! mmmm

  3. I’m gonna sound like such a weirdo, but does anyone like that feeling after you’ve had diarrhoea, when you know your bowels are completely empty? I even kinda like the process… and yes I am hanging my head in shame

    1. don’t “hang [your] head in shame”; I know exactly what you mean : you feel strangely light, etherial, as if you would float away. it is a physically hollowed-out sensation, similar to when you go over a hill in a car and your stomach lifts up.

  4. opening your phone at the same time you get a text

finding those styrofoam leftover boxes in your fride

being included by the big kids for backyard football when u were little

  5. Setting your alarm for 5am, then going to bed. Waking up in the middle of the night and thinking “crap I have to goto work…”

…But then looking at the clock and seeing that it is only 2….oh yes…3 more hours of sleep baby…

  6. approaching a red light and then getting a green arrow to turn left. no waiting, no life threatening cutting in between 2 cars in order to not be stranded there for days. green arrows.

  7. This site made my… er… morning. I wish I weren’t awake, but apparently my migraine had other plans for me. Oh, yes. Some of my suggestions… that have probably all been suggested already. I can’t read ALL those comments, man. My eyes hurt.

That couple of seconds immediately after stubbing your toe, before it actually starts to hurt. You know pain is to come, so keep walking before it kicks in!

Getting your joints to crack after a long, stressful day. Especially your neck, and your knuckles. Ahhhhhh.

The realization that some medicine you’ve taken has kicked in, and you feel infinitely better. (Think Dristan nasal spray. Ooh yeah.)

The Gaviscon Burp. (Gaviscon is a heartburn reliever, basically equivalent to Tums… except instead of just being chalky, it’s chalky, and then it foams up in your mouth and fills it completely! After finally swallowing all the damn foam, you have only to wait fifteen minutes or so before you start to feel better. And that sweet relief is very, very often begun with a burp, as if the Gaviscon is saying, “Look how damn good I am at neutralizing acid. I turn manic heartburn into one short, strawberry-flavoured burp.”)

Watching more than one rodent try to use the same wheel. (Bonus points if one or more is trying to run on the OUTSIDE of the wheel.)

A hand-holding mitten, (http://www.dailycandy.com/everywhere/article/22463/The+Tie+That+Binds) and having someone with whom to use it.

PS: Surprise two-ply is seriously awesome.

    1. I think this is an awesome blog. And I like the sound of a Coke can opening, that first crack and ssss. It’s really awesome!

    The smell of fall

Daylight savings time (fall) knowing you get to sleep for an extra hour

  13. How warm a piece of paper is after it prints out of one of those old printers. you just want to stick your face in it.

A perfect high-five. I’m talking about a perfect one- hands completely together with that satisfying SMACK noise. Especially after a victory.

Sticking your hands in any kind of dough and squeezing. I love how it goes through your fingers.

Working out to a really fun song. That gets you pumped up and makes you feel invincible.

Taking off a big sweater when it’s hot…The feel of the cold air on your skin is amazing! Or vice versa, bundling up and feeling all snug when it’s cold is great too.

    1. I have to share my high-five experience from this very evening:

I went back to my high school to watch my old team play lacrosse. Its the quarterfinals of the state tournament. My team won by one goal.

I’m on a raised bleacher – a good ten feet, mind you – my coach, runs, jumps, winds up, HIGH FIVE. Dead on. Excellent sound.

      Best high five ever.

Seeing other people as you drive that are in the same kind of car you have

Watching snow fall or walking outside as the snow falls

  16. Sitting in the very back row of a sporting event.

You are never really sure what section 409, row U means until you climb and climb and climb clutching your ticket, wondering where your Sherpa guide got to.

The thing is…the last row is actually far better than the row in front of it. You can stand if you want, post your sign that cleverly uses the letters ESPN directly behind you, and enjoy a birds-eye view of the entire field.

Does anyone remember sitting at the far end of the right field bleachers at Exhibition Stadium? It was as far away from the outfield fence as the fence was from home plate. Nothing better than arguing balls and strikes from there.

    AWESOME!
