Slightly larger than the ottoman

Look, there it is, wedged way down in the couch cushions the whole time.

Gosh, effing happens to me WAY too much.

  3. It’s always in the couch cushions.

  4. Ian

If it’s not stuck in the furniture somewhere I usually have no Plan B for where to look.

  5. Oh, no, that’s the DVD player one.

  6. ooh loosing the remote is so annoying and whilst you are looking for it, a annoying advert/tv programme always comes on and your stuck watching it gah!

  7. I think remotes get lost more than any other item in the house. What a great thing it is to finally find it each time.

  8. What an awesome feeling when you find it.

My mom once was searching everywhere for the remote, and we all looked for it and gave it up for lost.

About 45 minutes later, one of us found it in the fridge… apparently my mom was having one of those absent-minded “senior moments”.

Just keep that in mind next time you can’t find it in the couch cushions.

  10. For some reason I found it in the freezer after 2 months looking for it… not awesome but Very Cool

But did you also know you could stand up, walk to the TV, press the little buttons, and change the channel that way? Amazing!

Well, it wasn’t a remote, but a cell phone my buddy drunkenly “misplaced” one night, and the only reason they found it was because another drunken friend was sleeping on the couch it was lost in… It was on it’s last bar of power, on silent mode, and DEEEEEEEP in the couch… So deep they had to flip it over and slice it open from the bottom to dig it out…

I looked for my remote for 3 months before buying a new one..

then a couple weeks later, i found it lodged underneath the couch.

Even more awesome is knowing where the remote is and watching someone else look for it. Especially when the remote is right in front of them.

  24. hombre

I looked for my remote for 3 months before buying a new one.

  25. Mouse

Mine’s been missing since before Christmas
    It is now Spring
If anyone runs into it, tell it I love it very very much and want it to come home – I’ll even make the animals stop chewing on its buttons

  26. I completely agree. i just dropped my needle, went crazy trying to find it, and found it under the fabric on my desk. thanks for feeling my pain!

I like turning the t.v. off after you’ve been watching it for a few hours. It’s like, yes, we’re free! I think the t.v. is a life sucking box, unless your watching comedy or something inspiring.

    1>losing the remote…

    2>the hours/days/months of searching

3>the revelation of finding the remote

4>the disappointment of having to now try find batteries only to realize that, that is how the remote got lost in the first place…

It’s amazing and irritating at the same time.
I never find my TV remote.
Mostly my room is a mess and I’m always busy doing something.
So if a want to change the channel I don’t remember where I left my remote for the last time. After searching for a while I’m always relieved to find it.

Similar to a “poopastrophe” which happened with my grandson yesterday. He, (and I), laughed while both his weak-stomached parents “LOST IT!”

    • I just found an adorable remote for my grandson Noah at the thrift shop, with several Sesame Street characters and he hugged me like 10 times in 1 hour…THE BEST REMOTE I’VE EVER FOUND!

  32. Thank you for useful information. Waiting for new posts.

At our daughter and son in law’s there are 4 remotes. It takes all 4 of them to make it all work. First you have to know which is for what: television. satellite. And to add to the complexity, one selects surround stereo, games, satellite/t.v.guide, dvr or dvd! When me or my wife struggle, we’re told we’re old and losing our marbles, but for your information, when we were growing up, there were 2 channels. If anything else was done on a television it would’ve likely exploded the tubes that made it work! There was no such thing as a remote! We got off our butt to change the channels manually AND most people today, don’t even know you can do that, if/when the remote IS missing! :)

That is the awesomest feeling EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<(")
