Pepperoni fumes fill the air as you swerve and curve your way home. Yes, that hot bulky square of cardboard filled with zesty sauce and bubbling mozzarella heats your legs and gets your stomach rumbling for a delicious dinner that nobody needs to cook.
AWESOME!

I did this today and it was completely AWESOME!
…so is the smiley at the top corner of the page I have looked at nearly every day for the last few months and said nothing about. :)

YES! Smelling the aroma and getting my tummy ready for the battle later! XD

That is cool. I use to have to hold the box a little above my legs because the pizza was so hot.

Loved this too. Except there should be a word for the combination aroma of cardboard and pizza. It’s distinct. You know what I mean, right?

It’s agonizing when it’s a long ride, though, as the smell is just so good!

What sweet torture it is.

I have a different version on this. My friend, after a night of visiting all the bars downtown and unable to drive home, would stagger to the nearest pizza delivery place and order a pizza to be delivered to his home address. He would then hop in with the delivery guy and get a ride home!! with a pizza on his lap!! Ahhh Some…

my family and I always each take a corner piece in the car just for that extra satisfaction on the way home. :)

:) I’m pretty sure I couldn’t last for that long… (that’s what s/he said?)

I just did this last night with my roommates! Turns out we couldn’t wait, and ate on the drive home. Even better was that nobody had to pay for it!

When I was a kid the ride home from McDonalds was the worst. Not being allowed to eat it while smelling those fries was unbearable…so you try to sneak a few bottom fries.

Replace ‘pizza’ with ‘Chinese food’ and I’m all for this one. ^_^

i usually get sent to pick up the pizza, so i take a 1 slice transportation fee on the way home. lucky, we only live about 4-5 minutes from the pizza place. =D

I can smell that pizza right now… I’ve gots to get some.

Nothing like being in charge of the hot food on the way home, you just want to tear into the pizza but restrain yourself out of love for your dinner comrads.
PS) My work blocks all blogs now, (lame) and 1000 awesome things was blocked back in October! This had to be the least awesome thing that happened to me all year. Sorry that I can not visit your site as often as I would like! But keep up the great work! Besos!

When my mom would pick up pizza for us when we were little, my brother and I would fight over who would get to hold the box in the car!

I love this one! (and I’m pretty sure it was also a great line by Doug on “King of Queens”)

very awesome indeed, unless the pizza comes with a free beverage and it spills out the sides of the box XP (everyone know what i mean? as in oil… -_- )
