#607 Getting your guests to help you move something really heavy

Hey man, thanks for coming over. Wait, wait, wait, hold on, uh, don’t take off your shoes for a second. Listen, I’ve got this desk, and I sorta really need to get it out to the garage. Could you, I mean, it’ll only take a second.

(sheepish grin)

AWESOME!

For 4 years I tried to get EVERY guest that stayed at my house to help me put together my dresser and they each promised they would!! All around my room, it lay put together as far as I could get it on my own. It’s now in pieces in my garage, forever abandoned….

  2. This is even more…er, helpful, I suppose…when you’ve just recently dropped something behind said heavy object.

Ah yes. I’ve been doing this all week. Even when Rye is involved I ask for the that quick favour. I agree, Awesome.

Love this one…have *sheepishly* employed this tactic on most of my friends with Barbeques, planters, furniture, general household chores, changing light bulbs…sigh. awesome!

As the old saying goes: A good friend will help you move; A really good friend will help you move…..a body!

Just last week I was at my friends house and somehow he and his mother roped me into moving a mattress and box spring. I didn’t mind doing it at all.

When I first heard about this book, it was from one of your friends, who is a motivational speaker and appraised your site, and told us if we just follow our goals, maybe, and almost always get paid to do it for a living, like you and your site, books, and app (of wich I have the app on my IPod.)

Now to begin with this daily
Awesomeness; I agree that it is awesome when an elderly person needs help, (even when not knowing them) you help them carry stuff. (or carry it yourself XD) It leaves this warm feeling inside of you that you were kind enough to help them, and that knowing you did a good deed for the old, weak, or just people who can’t carry a whole table by themselves, which, frankly I do not think most people can. (I think we need a serious chat if you can.(Other than a plastic table, etc.)
