  1. Aw, that’s so cute! I love when the pictures working towards the perfect one turn out funny.

  2. This post is all about two of my very most favorite things ever: babies and photos. I LOVE IT. That is an ADORABLE baby! :)

I completely appreciate the satisfaction of finally getting the perfect shot. The other day I was trying to take pictures of a lizard, but it would move and I’d just get a picture of a leaf … then all the sudden it stopped and looked over at me. And it was awesome.

        1. Super cool, Laura..

You must lead a pretty cool life when you just casually drop a line like: “the other day I was trying to take pictures of a lizard…” whaaaat?

          Awesome..

              1. jdurley’s right.. I actually thought that was awesome.. and I wasn’t being sarcastic at all!

Reading it after the fact, I can see how that might have come across, but I was totally serious – I’m super jealous that I don’t get to take pictures of lizards! :)

                1. Well Freddo, I’ll share the secrets for how to be awesome enough to photograph lizards. It can be completed in a few easy steps!

                  1. Get coerced into helping your sister move to a different state.
                  2. Sit in the car for about an hour while said sister takes care of business in the leasing office.
                  3. Once you’re nearly bored to tears, then – and only then – can you spot a lizard in a bush and take 50ish pictures of it (with like a 10% success rate).

There you have it! Now you, too, can be that cool.

(AKA … it’s not actually very cool, but thanks for thinking so anyway ;D)

                  1. That is super cool! What state did you sister move to that is so complete with such awesome photographic lizards hiding in the bushes?

                    1. She moved to Mississippi to finish pharmacy school. I guess if she ever runs out of homework or things to study, she can kick it with all the lizards in her apartment complex bushes. :)

    1. Wotcher!

Oh my goodness that’s really beautiful! There’s so much detail, and the lizard really pops out! Great pic!

      Cheers,
      Sarah

  3. OMG How cute is this?!!!!!

Yes, the perfect picture is awesome. I have many pictures that progress just like what you posted.

  4. Sometimes I feel like I’ve taken a bad picture, and I take a few more just to get the right one. It’s only looking through them later that I find that the first one I took is actually my favorite.

This applies primarily to pictures of people.

  5. Wotcher!

Cute! I’m always trying to take pics. :-D It took me forever to make my cat sit still!

    Cheers,
    Sarah

  6. That’s why I mainly use digital cameras now. No wasting film on extra cuteness that isn’t smiling right at me.

  7. This is not related but has anyone noticed the smiley face in the upper right hand corner, and that made my day

  8. omg this made me laugh so hard. i went back and forth through the pictures. thank you!!

  9. What a cute baby! I love that smile. This reminds me of the 500 pictures we have to take just to get one good picture of my 3 year old :)

  10. this is what I feel when taking pictures of my dog who seems to intentionally turn away from my camera just when I’m about to snap. Haha.
