  1. YES! Oh yes. The other day I checked my Yahoo! email account for the first time in over five years. I thought for sure I’d have to do the “forgot my password” option, but I attempted anyway. The first one I tried was the winner! It was exciting until I realized I had thousands of unawesome spam messages. Oh well. It’s the little things, right?

Speaking of PINs, every single time I’m about to use the ATM or my debit card, I have a flash of panic that I’ve forgotten my PIN. I’ve never forgotten it, though, so I don’t know why!

  2. May I just thank you for using the term “PIN” correctly? “PIN number” is such a pet peeve of mine… =) One more reason why I love this list!!

    1. I often use my PIN number at the ATM machine, in order to get some money to buy a new TV. When I get home, I plug it into the wall (using AC current), I put a DVD disc in the drive, and watch some movies on the beauitful LCD display.

Then I just kick back and enjoy some TCBY yogurt, comforted by the fact that I’m a VIP person.

      RAS Syndrome FTW!

            1. I have been reading this for a while and never commented but I had to this time, cause that just made my LIFE!

              1. I hope you mean that it just made your Laser Infused Fluorescence Experiment

                Aka: Your LIFE Experiment.

                ZING!

  3. I love, love, love this. No one will EVER guess my secret PIN. It’s the price of a cheese pizza and a soda at Panucci’s Pizza! (disclaimer: not really)

Also, ATM means “Automated Teller Machine” so you’re being redundant when you say “ATM Machine.”

  4. Perfect timing! Just ten minutes ago I was going through all my old email accounts (from when I was 11 or 12). Lots of fun getting the passwords right and then reading all your ancient mail.

…I was kind of stupid when I was 12 :P

  5. Haha, yeah. I can still remember my old primary school computer password. Wonder if it still works…

  6. This is why I use a variation of the same password for every account I have. Just capitilize a few latters and add a question mark and BLAM! New password.

    1. My work computer password expires every 6 weeks and they don’t let you re-use old passwords. A trick I learned from a co-worker was to use the same password but then put a number on the end. Like if your password is your cat’s name, then you start with Fluffy, then next time it’s Fluffy1, then Fluffy2, etc. Then at least you’ll remember Fluffy, even if you have to guess at what number you’re up to.

  7. I don’t like making up new passwords for sites. I just cycle between a couple of passwords I use all the time, and (very slowly) add a new password as I go. So if a password is wrong, I just type in all of my old passwords until it’s correct, heh.

  8. This is a daily battle/victory for me. Makes every frustrating moment just a little more awesome when I conquer it AGAIN.

  9. haha!..i can so relate to this!…i’ll write my pin number in every single paper in my wallet!!!!…geez!!! just for me not to forget it…

  10. i just went through that today! thanks to some luck i was able to use my credit card without any troublr

  11. I get a similar feeling from trying to remember how to play a song on the piano. I managed to do it a few days ago after about 4 years of not playing it at all.

  12. All this talk of password prompts me to point out how important they can be – they should be really tough for anyone to guess (not a pet’s name with a number). Search for ‘password manager’ and download a free one like KeePass and you will not have to remember passwords any more, and you will be much more secure.

  13. just tap the center of your forehead- this is where all your cognitive files are stored. Mine is permanently indented and purplish, reddish, blue. Good luck with yours:)

  14. All I would say is that this model has a fantastic image and excellent sound. It looks good with its slim surround. Straightforward set up (although the batteries in mine were duds-luckily I had spares for the remote). Decided it justified a new stand which arrived today-that is just brilliant as well. At under L50 I think this was a bargain. Top marks to Amazon;both items are first class and deliveries were made exactly as advised.
