#828 Remembering what movie that guy is from

Danny Trejo

Smack dab in the middle of the movie’s big scene, it always happens.

Clancy Brown

Everything gets tense for the big courtroom finale or championship football game, and then all of a sudden the defense attorney or opposing coach turns out to be that guy from some other movie and you just can’t stop thinking about where he’s from.

Wait, was he the prison guard in Shawshank? Or the lawyer from Miracle on 34th Street? Or, no, no, no, I got it. He’s the knife guy in From Dusk Till Dawn.

AWESOME!

Or girl! It’s even more of a brain teaser if you saw them in something when they were a small child, then all grown up!

  2. Hey…its that guy… you know….that guy from that one movie….. oh what’s his name….. that guy who did that thing in that one movie…. you know who I’m talking about…. ITS THAT GUY!!

Yes, I know all too well about seeing a familiar face in another movie, but it takes me forever to figure out where I know him from. Hubby always thinks that someone is someone else when clearly its not. One movie with Jessica Alba in it he swore up and down that it was Jennifer Garner. He does stuff like that all the time. Then I have to google them and show him its not, otherwise he doesn’t believe me.

Right there with you! Everytime my other half thinks it’s someone else and i’m like what’s wrong with you! I Google step later, I have proved my point……till the next time.

Try this guy from films from the Forties to the Sixties :- E.G.Marshall !! Or Jack Elam!! Or Ed Begley!! Or Struther Martin !! Or the Kennedy’s – George and Arthur !! Etc, etc, etc. All great actors!!

Waking up in a panic because you overslept them remembering it’s your day off.

I’m terrible with names, but pretty good with faces. I usually just end up referring to actors by the names of characters they’ve played. I always get Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise’s names mixed up.

    • OH NO! How could you get those 2 mixed up. Tom Hanks-AWESOME!! Tom Cruise-NOT AWESOME. I love Tom Hanks. He has rocked every movie he has been in and I don’t care what everyone else says, Cast Away was a good movie. Its got a lot of crap, but I liked it. First fell in love with Tom in Forest Gump and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen every movie he’s been in.

I love Cast Away, too! I’ve always wanted to see Forest Gump, because I keep hearing people say, “Run, Forest, run!”. I always get their names mixed up because their both named Tom and their both really famous actors. I’ve seen a movie with Tom Cruise in it, so I can’t really say anything about him, but I do agree that Tom Hanks is indeed very awesome. I love his voice and his accent.

        • Whoa Max! Wish I could’ve got in on this one! These 2 men cannot, I repeat, CANNOT EVER be mixed up in any way shape or form, ok?!*
          Tom Hank’s, “BIG!”
          Tom Cruise, “Little!”
          I rest my case!

  6. There’s only one movie I can identify actors from. And it just happens to be the best movie ever… The Big Lebowski. The dude abides!

What an absolutely GREAT flick! So many fun quotable lines! “It really ties the room together!” “!@#$ it,let’s go bowling.” Just thinking of it makes me laugh!

Sometimes I look at my husband and say ” You’re not wrong, you’re just an…” He knows how it ends! :)
I’ve also been known to say “Do you mean coitus?” So many great lines!

Heat (he has a great final scene)…Shawshank (“he cried like a girl when they took him away”…A Few Good Men “I’m proud of neither what I’ve done nor what I’m about to do.” My life’s motto: So many movies, so little time! “All of life’s riddles are answered in the movies.” :)

OK, the 2nd guy was in Pet Sematery II and I remember him eating rabbits or something. Bekah, my hubby is the same – SWEARS it’s somebody who doesn’t even remotely look like the one we’re wondering about. And Klalota, my favorite line was “Hey! I have a beverage, here!”

  9. Ooooh, the relief when you finally figure it out!

  10. Thank goodness for IMDB.com! Before that site, this used to drive me NUTS!!! :)
