#788 The first squeeze from a new tube of toothpaste

get-ready-for-a-fresh-squeezePlump and juicy, fat and full, a new tube of toothpaste holds a future full of hope and promise just behind its clean cap and dent-free logo. Yes, whiter teeth, brighter smiles, and a world without bad breath are just a few minutes of gentle scrubbing each day away.

And unlike a bag of chips or a box of Froot Loops, when you drop ninety-nine cents for a tube of the good stuff, it comes to you filled all the way to the top. And sure, while scraping out one final squeeze from a flat, worn out tube of Colgate is a great rush, that first squeeze from a new tube of paste is even better.

You barely need to squeeze it.

  1. Oooh! I enjoyed the first squeeze this morning!

…I squeezed it with too much enthusiasm and had to try and put some of the paste back into the tube. Woops-a-daisy. :P

  2. The first squeeze from a new tube is hard to get used to when you’ve been squeezing the last tube for all its worth to get every single bit of toothpaste out.
Hubby’s usually the one that gets to enjoy the first squeeze from a new tube because I’m always trying to get more out of the last tube.

  3. Man I’ve missed you guys. How is Australia? Still loving bad guys?

    Bekah how’re the kids?

    1. I am. I am still loving bad guys. :D

And Australia is… kind of cold, actually. I’m wearing a dressing-gown and typing with one hand because the cat on my lap sort of melted over onto my left arm.

How are things with you? (:

  4. Yeah! I also like all the first squeezes from things like a new bottle of shampoo, body wash, hand soap, glue, those wasabi tubes that I sometimes find, glitter glue, paint, anchovie paste… My goodness I kind of rambled on there. Anyway. Yeah. Toothpaste is awesome, and even more awesome when it comes in a fresh wee tube.

  5. I’m actually proud to say, I’ve been known to cut a tube of more than toothpaste open, at times discovering several more usages remaining:)

    1. (Strange…I think there’s a haunting in awesomeland: I wasn’t finished my sentence and the comment uploaded then re-opened on the new page of the day!)
*As I was saying though, then I can REALLY appreciate the new tube of anything! the end
