#692 Eating the crusts of the sandwich first to save the middle part for last

eat it upNobody wants to finish on a downer.

If you aren’t careful the last bite of your lunch will be a big chomp of dry crusts and lettuce scraps. Your mouth will finish on a lame and boring note with the delicious middle bites from minutes ago lost in a dry, crusty haze.

Don’t let it happen to you!

Put your time in at the beginning, sacrifice early nibbles and take care of all the corners, and set yourself up for a deliciously fresh and soft, ham-and-cheesy finale to finish off your lunch.

AWESOME!

Unparalleled levels of deliciosity

  1. Especially good on a PB&J. But I do it with my daily PB& cheese as well. That’s right Peanut butter & cheese. Don’t tell me I’m the only one.

        1. I’ve eaten a plain chip sandwich and a bologna and chip sandwich, but never a pb&j with chips. I think its time I expand my PB&J horizons…. with cheese and chips!

    1. Yuppers, you’re the only one! LOL! Actually, sounds oddly intriguing…I may give it a whirl!

  2. I love to save the fluffy middle for last, but depending on what kind of sandwich it is… I flatten it before I eat it. Fluffy or flat, the middle is always the best! Save the best for last. Oh, and I need to add that I make a lot of sandwiches out of regular food. If I can put it between 2 slices of bread, I’m probably going to eat it. Rice sandwich, pasta sandwich, pepperoni sandwich, cucumber sandwich, mashed potato sandwich… yes, I eat it all

  3. This all the way! Same with pizza too, I’ll eat the crust off first, then enjoy the rest of the cheese and extra saucy good part of the pizza.

    1. I don’t mind saving the crust for last on pizza because I take that crust and I dip it in Ranch dressing for extra yummy goodness

  4. I used to do this with my Nutella sandwiches… but then I just started spreading that chocolatey goodness right to the very edge of the bread, so I wind up with some freakin’ delicious crusts.

  5. I love this blog! Even the comments are awesome to read! PB&J always crust first. Pizza always crust first. Meat sandwiches not so much. Chips on a sandwich, oh yes!
