#968 Barbecue lighters

Light my fire

Shouldn’t all lighters be replaced by barbecue lighters? They’re not much more expensive, but they’re so much more practical. No burning of the fingers. No getting your thumb all scraped. No trying to find this tiny little lighter that could be anywhere. You can’t lose a barbecue lighter. The thing’s the size of a fork. Sure, it’s got a little more weight, but it still fits in the average purse or pocket. And you can control the size of the flame! That’s gotta be worth something.

I think everyone should start carrying these things around instead of regular lighters. And who knows, you might actually have to light a barbecue sometime.

So there you go.

AWESOME!

  1. We use these at Relay to light the candles inside the bags. It makes it easier than taking the candles out of each one. Although, sometimes they are hard to figure out. Ya gotta pull the trigger while pushing down on a button or sliding a thingy….

    1. While little bics are child proof, big BBQue lighters seem adult proof~ so in thinking it’s not charged, I cranks up the fuel, then poof, “Look out long hair; nose and eye brow hairs be gone!”
Don’t even get me started on lighting z bbque!!!

  2. I love those if only to twirl them on my finger like an outlaw from the ol’ west!

  3. This brings back happy memories of watching my dad light the charcoal grill when I was a little girl…seeing him drop the match in and poor! Huge cloud of flame blows up as dad steps back. That, to my childlike eyes, was the definition of a man: one who can fearlessly light a bbq grill. Now, I just flick on the gas grill, easy. They’ve not only taken the danger out of the playgrounds, now even backyard cooking is relatively safe!
Anyway, back to lighters…um, yeah, why would anyone use one of the small ones? I’m guessing the smokers may not find them all that convenient, though. It would be funny to watch someone whip one out to light a cig…LOL!

  5. I love BBQ lighters! I remember when I was going through a candle phase and my parents bought me one with a flexible neck for those deep jars that were almost “wicked-out”. Love me my barbeque lighters lol

  6. The noble BBQ lighter. Those things are the best. And so easy to use. I never knew that you could control the size of the flame. Next time I get my hands on a BBQ lighter, I will try that.
