After a lot of pinching, tweezing, and biting out pops that annoying little sliver of wood, leaving behind only a tiny, satisfying puncture hole.
AWESOME!

I did this recently, and my first thought was, “Is that one of the Awesome Things? … It probably is, cause it’s AWESOME.”
:D
I spent $10 to have a nurse at a walk-in clinic dig around under my fingernail to get out a crazy splinter, and after a half hour of that with no luck I walked out of there, bought a $20 pair of tweezers and got it out myself in the car. SUPER AWESOME! (thank god for adrenaline).
I agree that this is awesome but what do ninja turtles have to do with this post? Haha
its all about the creativity…
You don’t remember Master Splinter!? That was the best part of the post! :)
I can’t believe I forgot! Haha
I once got a splinter on the hardwood floor in my house. I hobbled around for about five minutes before I realized what was making my foot hurt, and then I sat down and spent another five minutes trying to get it out. It was a long process. I eventually got it out, though. It felt so good!
I think the worst slivers are fir! They fester, burn and feel like aggravational assault! You can’t think of a single solitary other thing until it’s out, and yet often it can literally be microscopically small while the relief when it’s finally removed is seriouosly, beyond awesome!
Happy Easter everyone!
I’ve just discovered your blog, I love this! :) My website recommends weird and wonderful things to do in London -as a fellow London lover, you might like it :) worth checking out maybe :)
My mom used to work in a factory doing a job which left her hands riddled with slivers of metal! Yikes! I can still remember her sitting watching TV with tweezers in hand, pulling out splinters. Did you also know that hairstylists get hair splinters in their hands?! Yeah, those little trimmed pieces often pierce the skin. A friend who is a stylist showed me…talk about hurt, ouch!
