Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and realised you either were lying on your arm or else had it above your head on the pillow, and it’s completely numb and floppy and gross?
…But then the pins and needles kicks in, the blood comes back, the stabbing ache fades and all is well…
And if no one else has ever had this experience, then I must be sleeping wrong. o__O
Yes, I’ve had this experience with more expenditures than one!
If only pins and needles would bring back pirky to all “floppy and gross”!
Its been a while since my arm had been completly useless like that. Its always funny though, trying to turn the alarm off or see what time it is on my phone and I’m trying sooooo hard to move that arm, but it won’t budge.
LMAO…I still remember lying on my arm in an unusual way while sleeping and it was all “floppy and gross” and it impinged on my dreaming ’cause I then dreamed that I’d been shot in the arm. When I awoke, I couldn’t feel my arm so I assumed my dream was real and I’d been shot in the arm and got kinda panicky…took me a while to suss it out and then I laughed like crazy!
I usually need to hobble around for a bit before this happens. It feels so weird.
I know someone who broke their ankle hobling around with foot asleep! Be careful you don’t do that, Max!
I’ve been told that you can break your bones if you try to use them while your limbs are asleep, but I’ve never known anyone to do it.
Oh… when I was little and my foot would fall asleep, I thought I could bring it close to my mouth and yell at it to wake it up. Never worked, but I did it everytime.
