I love using chopsticks so much that I went and bought some of those plastic onees so I can wash and reuse. Mine are purple and I have a set of 4.
Good for you, Bekah. Especially considering the following:
*China’s population goes through roughly 45 billion pairs of disposable chopsticks a year – that’s 130 million pairs a day.
*To keep up with this demand, 100 acres of trees are felled every day. That means that one acre of trees gets cut down to make chopsticks every 15 minutes.
*That works out to 16 million to 25 million felled trees a year.
And purple is awesome!
Holy Cow! I didn’t know those little things could cause so much trouble.
We should send them our pine beetle bug kill trees!!! Now there’s a solution focused attitude, am I right people:)
I can’t use chopsticks. I’ve had several different people try and teach me, but I still fail at life. I’ll stick with forks.
And sporks. Those things are awesome.
I have to admit to never choosing the chopsticks as my limited past experience has shown me better (I’m not that big on Chinese). But sporks, now they rock!
In fact, I think I’d more often order Chinese if it came with a spork!
o.k. girls, pres tell what’s a spork?
b/c i can’t use chop sticks either, or do a cart wheel!
I wonder if there’s a correlation between how many people can’t use chop sticks or do a cart wheel?
I wonder if Blax Tone has any statistics on that?! And I wonder, wonder who boombido-oo-oo, who wrote the book of love?!* ;)
A spork is a magical creation, crossbred between a spoon and a fork, thus allowing for simultaneous scooping and stabbing of food.
Now that’s awesome! Thanks ltbg!

I love this blog. It brings back the Stop-and-smell-the-roses attitude that we all need to have daily. Enjoy.
Yes, but don’t we feel oh so worldly using chopsticks when those around us are at a total loss .As far a spork, no way! reminds me of my younger days at the Colonel’s
