#917 The moment at a concert after the lights go out and before the band comes on stage

You go early, you grab a drink, you buy a T-shirt, you find your seat or you edge up to the stage, you listen to the opening act, you people watch, you watch watch, you talk to your friends, you guess what songs they might play, and then the moment finally arrives: the background music fades down, all the lights suddenly go out, and there’s total blackness.

You feel a massive wave of anticipation sweep across the crowd, people stand up, raise their arms, and scream — and everyone clamors for that first view of the band walking onstage.

AWESOME!

  1. I went to see U2’s 360 concert. I was about 7 or 8 at the time and wasn’t that into U2 so I didn’t really appreciate that moment!! But one of the opening acts was my favorite band of all time, ( and still is!) the script! I was so excited. Does anyone else like the script??

  2. The moment right before the band comes on stage is a great instant. Since you bought the tickets you’ve been wondering how that would be, and you kept waiting hours and hours before the concert started just to see the band on stage. I’ve been there a few times and is a pure felling of fulfillment and you think about nothing else but that unique moment, when you know that all you will see there, you’ll see never again in your life! This few seconds are pure adrenaline, but aren’t better then actually seeing the band, obviously. Anyways, since no one talks about it, is a great choice for the blog!
