#756 Getting the booth side of a restaurant table

Whip by the seats near the bathroom, skip past the table in the middle of the floor, and score that nice private pad in the corner. Plump, squishy boothseat on one side and hard, plastic chair on the other.

You know what to do.

AWESOME!

  1. This is why it’s awesome when the restaurant/café is fairly empty, and you and one friend can sit at a four-seater table. Then you can BOTH sit booth-side. WHEEEEEEW! :D

  2. It’s not about the cushy chairs for me. It’s back againt the wall action. Just in case something goes down. You never know when a six year old is going to try and make a move for the last candy in the complimentary dish.

  3. I have been wondering of late, what’s next, Neil? Not in a you-HAVE-to-do-something-next kinda way because, really, you already created this ( :) !) And THIS is right up there with important well-known quotes and all. You’ll be forever remembered for this AWESOME thing! No, you’re not EXPECTED to follow up, but I venture to guess you will because I believe you have more to say, more to offer. To say the least, you have earned a rest from the blogosphere and from literary pursuits in general, but at the risk of being a pushy fan-girl, when do you think you’ll create/write something new???

    1. See, right there’s the problem with being so brilliant…people expect you to be brilliant over and over and …

        1. I’m wondering what he is going to do with the stuff we had submitted under the submit tab. You remember when he asked us to do that a while back and said that a surprise is coming? I’ve been stumped. But the stuff that I did submit, I also wrote for the awesome friends blog.

          1. Just so you know, your comment is almost directly beside “When a big chunk of ear wax…” I simply can’t type the rest! LOL!

              1. HUHUMM, (I hope I spelled that right!) Kathy, Neil is presently busy completing my complete version, all encompassing comments and all… so if you will step aside, just step aside girl-friend, your day will come;)

  4. The last time we went out to eat, Sunday- great Mexican place, we were offered the CORNER booth where its all booth and no chairs and takes up the two walls and has an angle in it for the corner. I was excited, but we had to turn it down because a guy we were with needs to sit in a chair because he can’t fit in in a booth
