Weaving through traffic, speeding down the ramps, cruising through the city, I’ve got one hand on the wheel and the other tapping through the radio dials.
Sure, I swing by for traffic and weather, but then I’m off — checking if the host is back on my main station, cruising by the backups to see what’s playing, or even stopping in for a couple innings of the ball game.
Once in a while I end up on a station I don’t visit very often just as the opening notes are kicking in for one of my old favorites. As the drum kicks and guitar strums jolt my memory back and scratch my brain stem just the right way, I smile and settle in for a few minutes of head-bopping bliss on the drive home.
AWESOME!

I tend to stick to one radio station. It’s only if I’m travelling and I need to find a new town’s local stations that I might stumble upon this little bit of awesomeness.
Also, we haven’t seen any dating spam in a little while! (she says, hoping not to have jinxed them all.)
The other day this happened! Then I started to dance with the little ones and sing along with the song, when I got to the last line, “Would you be my partner every night…When we’re togeher it feels so right, could I have this dance for the rest of my life?” With a tone of sincerity and a smile upon his face, my 3 year old grand-son replied. “Sure Grannie!”
For those who haven’t heard this, this listening pleasure is for you:
You know what I get to listen to these days? The itsy bitsy spider, six little ducks, mickey mouse songs or some teeny boppers. Toddler and pre-pre-teen music. At work I listen to Pandora so I’m always at the beginning of a song. I hardly listen to the radio in my car when its just me… I enjoy the silence and my thoughts.
I’m so spoiled…my new car came with a trial of Sirius xm and I’m loving commercial free radio! I love when I catch one of my faves just starting…a little Floyd, some Queen, or perhaps a bit of YES!
