  3. An awesome thing is the day after doing laundry, you open your closet to see it full of clothes just ready to be worn.

    Another is the way your mom took care of you when you stayed home from school. I remember whenever I had the stomach flu, my mom would rub my back while I threw up. I think back at it and think “Wow, my mom was amazing.”

    – Waking up on the weekends and thinking “I don’t have anything to do today.” and falling back asleep.
    – Singing and dancing in your bedroom because nobody’s watching. aka hairbrush kareoke.
    – Playing old hand games from when you were 10 – girls at least. It’s fun knowing that my friends still remember the random hand gestures and gibberish after all those years.
    – The smell at Christmas time – peppermint, christmas trees, anything cooking in the kitchen, almost giftwrap/tape too.
    – Getting asked to dance. I feel great knowing that someone kinda likes me.
    – Touching a cactus and not getting pricked. I feel like I’ve beat the system.
    – Deja Vu. It’s kinda funny thinking WOAH where have I seen that before?
    And lastly…
    – This list. I found this website after a LONG week and it was nice to read it and think “Ya know… the little things in life really do make a difference.”

    2. Getting asked to dance. When someone likes me, I feel amazing.
    3. Getting told you smell good. My best friend tells me that my hair smells good just about everyday and I still feel great everytime.
    4. The kid who whispers answers in your ear when the teacher calls on you.
    5. Deja Vu. When you just pause and say “Woah…”
    6. Finally realizing a joke in a movie that you’ve seen a million times and have NEVER picked up on that joke. This happens to me a lot with movies I watched when I was little and didn’t get as many of the jokes.
    7. Playing a hand game from when you were 10 and realizing that you and your friend still know the gestures and the gibberish perfectly.
    8. Feeling a cactus and not getting a prick in your finger. I feel like I just beat the system.
    9. Kid’s shows you watched when you were little and you decide to shout out the answers like you used to do. I still love Blue’s Clues and have had a crush on Steve for years, but Joe is pretty cool.
    10. Hearing the theme song for your favorite tv show.
    11. Seeing you have a lot of text messages or emails when you open your inbox. You feel so popular.
    12. When little kids say really random things that don’t make sense or say something that they don’t realize is bad.
    13. Smelling things that you’re not supposed to smell because it’s bad for you. Glue, gasoline, sharpies, dry erase board markers, nail polish remover – it just all smells so dang good.
    14. Restaurant cups you can take home and reuse.
    15. Your favorite pen that writes really well.
    16. People who shout the most random things at concerts.
    17. When you leave your glasses at home and everyone asks if you got contacts.
    18. When you dance and sing in your room because no one’s watching and you want to let it out.
    5. Deja Vu. When you just pause and say “Woah…”
    19. Making cookies, brownies, cake ect. with your friend. Something usually goes a teeny bit wrong every time so it’s never perfect but it’s really fun and tastes delicious.
    20. Recognizing a grammar mistake that no one else has noticed. I feel really smart.
    21. When songs totally sound like your life.
    22. Wearing a headset. I feel really geeky and it’s so funny.
    23. Playing flashlight hid-and-seek. Total adrenaline rush when your friend is walking through the darkness shining his light oh-so close to you and you hold your breathe in the moment of pure terror that you will be found.
    24. Painted toes. Fingernails are cute, but painted toes are adorable.
    25. Getting a hug from the person you like. It’s really hard to tell if they like you back or if they like you as a friend, but either way it feels good to just know that at least care about you that much.

    Or the relief of chapstick after your lips have been really dry and you haven’t had your chapstick around for some amount of time.

    The sound cheese makes when it oozes out of your grilled cheese and hits the hot skillet

    Snoopy, especially on top of his dog house

    A kitten purring so loudly it sounds like a roar

    The Salvation Army bell ringers in front of stores during the holidays (especially how greatful they are when you bring them a cup of hot chocolate)

    Couples with names you always mix up i.e. Gus & JoAnn = Jus & GoAnn, Jenny & Ben = Benny & Jen, Ricky & Liz = Licky & Riz

    When someone mixes up names or words and doesn’t realize it and just keeps talking while you’re left giggling

    6. You saying the same thing at the same time as someone else.

    7. Having a mini-conversation with a stranger, like talking about how great a deal was while you’re online at the super market.

    8. When you open your eyes after falling asleep in a car and realise that no, it hasn’t been only ten seconds, and you’re home.

    9. When a long, tedious class ends.

    10. When something someone says reminds you of a song lyric and you burst out into song.

    11. Doing something and realising that you’ve gotten better at it.

    12. Doing something and feeling that you’re actually good at it.
