Everytime I smell veggie soup I think of my grandma. Almost everytime we went to visit her when I was little she was making veggie soup and that’s what we would eat while there. She made the BEST veggie soup. Whenever I get word that she is making some, I always ask her to save me a bowl.

happened to me today! and it was AWESOME!
That moment in the late afternoon, when the sun turns everything orange, after school/work, looking up into the blue sky scattered with clouds turned orange by the sun contrasting with the blue and feeling as if you have all the time in the world…
lol i love it when you make a traditional snowman, and when you lose track of all the days and it feels like the weekend has come early
also, playing with tin foil till it rips =(

The first morning at home after coming home from university for Christmas holidays and smelling pancakes and coffee that your mom is preparing for you.
It’s really really awesome when you’re in your 50’s and you run into your childhood best friend,.. in an other country.
gettin the foil from off an easter egg all smooth again. take patients and a steady hand but awesome when you achieve it.
When your dog licks the tears off your face.
Finding out you and your son whistle at the same pitch/key (I’m not a musician).
When someone you lost touch with hears your voice on a request line on the radio, and gets in touch with you. (really happened)
When you finally tell someone special that horrible thing about yourself, and they don’t care.
Getting in front of the school bus on your way to work in the morning.
I’m not saying pass it….. when the bus is stuck at a red light and you have the big ol’ green one and you pull right out in front of it OR you’re at a 4 way just seconds before the bus….
Did this today and I was at work a whole 10 minutes earlier.

Grandparent’s Day was Sunday so I wanted to throw this one out there…..
Being a grandparent. You get to spoil the kids, have all the fun, get them wired on sugar……. and then send them home.

When the lights go out!Its great. The slience and darkness. I love it!!! And rain is AWESOME. Its so nice just sitting on the couch with a good book and the little pitter-patter of rain out the window.
Things I find to be pretty epic:
– Getting Rick Rolled
– Purposely breathing on a sibling or close friend when you have morning breath
– Making weird/random noises when you’re on an elevator with strangers
– (For us girls) Period foods
– Slow days at work when you can just slack off and do nothing and still get paid
– When a butterfly lands on the tip of your finger
– The smell right before and after it rains
When the weatherman is wrong about the first snow of the season.
This just made me happy!!!
