Carving pumpkins
Carving intricate designs in pumpkins. Spending so much time on it, hand cramping, eyes crossing…but it turns out awesome.
Getting up on the rooftop of a farmhouse or other house that is taller than the surrounding landscape, and catching the full Moon crest the horizon on a perfectly clear and calm night. You can actually sense/comprehend the Earth is rotating as opposed to the Moon rising.
When you actually don’t put your shirt on backwards.
I remember one day in the third grade…it was the only time I was really picked on….I went to school with both my shirt and pants on backwards. I didn’t know until the day was halfway over. My pants were one of those elastic waistband, no button or zipper. People knew I had them on backward cuz there was a heart patch, about the size of my hand, that was suppose to be on the front of my right thigh…but this day it was on the back of my left leg. My shirt, very noticably backward.
Horrible day and I still have no idea how I happened to do that.
