  1. Remember back when a computer mouse had the track ball inside? Picking the crud out of that when it wasn’t working well was so weirdly satisfying, especially when it worked so smooth after!

  2. when you upload something to facebook and having tons of people like it, even people you don’t regularly talk to. it feels like you’re TMZ. internet hit sensation – awesome!

  3. Thank you for sharing! Listening to you right now on the radio……you came across the airwaves when i needed it the most! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!

  4. Super nice neighbors.
I never really appreciated this until this past weekend. I’ve had a lot of neighbors come and go since I moved into hubby’s place, but the one that is there now deserves a gold star. There was an incident with me, ice and stairs and the neighbor was right there. She drove me to the hospital, watched my daughter until someone showed up, and stayed with me until hubby got there. When we move, I want to take her with us so she can be our neighbor at the new place.

  5. When you sing along as loud as you can, even though you don’t quite know the lyrics – and don’t get busted!

    Straight up awesome!

  6. Neil, I see you didn’t post anything today, yet. I hope you are doing ok. Hope all is well.

  7. Getting to unwrap one gift on Christmas Eve, kinda like a pre-Christmas.

Being the first one that is handed a gift on Christmas

Kida waking everyone up really early cuz Santa came, but no one minds waking up at 4 am. This is the only day that I will wake up with a smile on my face that early in the morning.

Giving other people’s kids noisy toys.

  8. Wanna hear the best AWESOME – sitting in a long Tim’s drive through line on Christmas Eve morning, on my way to work (hoping not to be late) – thinking about how I no longer enjoy Christmas – I have to do all the shopping, baking wrapping and decorating and my 2 useless teenage boys(whom I LOVE) are no help at all. I finally place my order and pull up to the window and the girl tells me my order has been paid for by the person in front of me!!! I pay anyway and tell her to keep it going…..she chuckles and says this has been going on for 7 cars now. Warm and fuzzies. Christmas spirit is the little things people can do to make your day great. AWESOME!!!!

  9. When you’re in a store in the mall and a popular song you like comes on so you start singing along then look around and realize that everyone else is singing along too. Awesome!

  10. Getting to say, “See you next year” on New Year’s Eve

Happy New Year’s to everyone. Thought I’d say it now cuz I won’t be back until next year!!

  11. After losing weight and trying on that pair of jeans that didnt fit you and the zip goes up really easily….AWESOME

  12. When a baby wraps their fingers around one of yours <3++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++-

  13. Going down a road in your hometown that you haven’t been on before. And saying, “Huhmm….. Never been down this road before,” out loud to yourself or your passenger.

  14. when you see an old couple that are happy and love each other so much that you would think they were lovebirds right after their wedding

when two completely different animals get along that you wouldn’t expect to

  15. Remembering how that song starts off.
Remembering that one thing that’s been bugging you all day.
While making fun of one of your parents, the other one joins in ON YOUR TEAM! YEAH!
    Shining your first trophy.
    The smell of fireworks.
Being able to translate to a group of adults what your baby brother is saying.
    Falling asleep in odd positions.
    Christmas eve.
    Really friendly strangers.
Being able to name everyone in old photographs.
Learning about relatives you never knew you had.
When your grandpa tells everyone those “When I was your age…” stories.
Closing your eyes really tightly and seeing lots of colours.
    Whiteboard pens.
Making mum breakfast in bed as a kid on Mothers’ Day.
    Teaching an older person something.
    Learning from a little kid.

  16. Maybe not for everyone, but here goes.

Peeing in a public washroom trying to hold in a fart, then the other guy in there with you washes up and leaves and you just let it go.
    AWESOME!

  17. Those new hand dryers in airport toilets which ACTUALLY dry your hands. The ones that you hover your hands vertically in and out of and in mere seconds you have silky, dry digits! AWESOME!

  18. Arriving at a metro/tram stop at the same time your transport does. Even better in NYC when it’s an express train and that’s what you wanted.
I still remember from years ago- on a Very long, very cold winter day, the Q showing up at Union Square just when I got to the platform. I got in the car and inside the subway car there was a guy playing a guitar and people were singing along- it was all so warming and happy.
Interesting- the things one experiences living in a city w/ public transport vs. not.

  19. When you ask out a someone you thought would never have interest in you and they say yes, for the rest of the day you feel like you can do anything, even before you’ve actually gone on the date.
Or when your friend or your sibling really nails something they were working so hard to achieve, it feels like a victory even if you had nothing to do with it.
