Watching cats / dogs dreaming… chase-chase-chase…
WiFi (because it lets you sit on your deck while the porkchops are one the BBQ AND you can comment on awesome blogs).
Watching the puppy book it around the yard when you get home at night to burn up all the pent-up puppy-power he’s been storing up all day.
Fresh white cotton sheets or towels off the clothesline.
The way the wind picks up just before a massive thunderstorm and that electric feeling of impending awesomeness in the air.
Peeing outside (not advisable in the suburbs). Bonus awesomeness if you pee outside while letting your dog pack out for a pee at night. Gotta be something about marking your territory as a pack or something. It’s some kind of weird doggie bonding experience.
Eating outside.
Bathing in the lake when camping. And camping in general.
When a dog ‘smiles’ at you with their ears flat against their head because they recognize you. Bonus if it’s someone else’s dog.
Bringing the best dish to a potluck.
Pretending that the firefly sparkles in the hayfields are fairies.
Cats that lay on your computer keyboard.
Fixing a table of chair that’s wobbly by putting folded up piece of cardboard or paper under the leg. See also: putting WD-40 on a squeaky hinge.
Showing your kids how to do a cartwheel, headstand, back bend, or some other athletic feat of your youth…and being pleasantly surprised that you’re still able to do it.
Two people seeing the same thing in a cloud shape. Extra points if it’s something naughty.
Being the last person at a dying campfire.
Getting your face painted with your kids at a fair.
Catching a pesky mosquito with one hand.
A huge, warm, scratchy cotton towel after swimming for so long your lips turn blue.
Going to bed after a long day of hard work/play outside.
Going clothes shopping after you’ve lost some weight.
Hanging clothes on the clothesline.
Anything that a baby laughs at. That’s just freakin awesome.
Oh yeah, and realizing you’re rocking out to the same song as the person in the car beside you at the red light.
I love when you are at a movie theater and a preview for the movie you are about to see comes on. It’s a rare occasion but is a great one
Being the only one in a public bathroom
