    Cars with sunroofs

    Black and white photographs

  3. I love when I am faced with a baby with a bad reputation for not liking strangers and it seems to just immediately fall in love with me and want me to hold it. Doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I feel like the most loved person in the world.

  4. -Getting free drinks on your birthday!

-The extra hour of sleep you get when the clocks roll back.

    AWESOME!!

  5. Snow Days off from school. It’s like a new playground was built, and schools gave everyone a day off to play on it.

That feeling when you’re in a trance. When you can’t look away from something and zone out.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been said before: yawning!

    1. I know that trance thing you’re talking about! It happens to me all the time. Like when you’re blankly looking at something but thinking about something else and then, even when you realize (are fully aware of it), you can’t seem to PULL your eyes away from where they are. And when you do, they move their fixation to that object instead!

It sucks when there’s someone there though, ’cause they always think you’re staring at them! So embarrassing!

  6. the extra roll of toilet paper…

getting a prize in your cereal…

    photobooth pictures…

waking up with a plushie in your arms…

    taking shortcuts…

the first day after buying a car…

    walking barefoot in the sand…

    spending other peoples money…

    an early morning jog…

being the first person to notice a burned out light bulb…

writing on the first page of a new notebook…

signing the back of a check…

sneeking back in after you snuck out..

    …mm, awesome

Maybe it’s just me, but it’s changed, please change it back it’s so much nicer :S

  9. I love this blog. It’s AWESOME!

    other things that are awesome:

channel surfing and finding something good on tv/great movie

crossing the crosswalk just before the lights turn against your favour
or catching the subway just before the doors close

finding prime seats at a crowded event

rummaging through old storage boxes and finding awesome things and having blasts from the past

making it indoors just before the weather gets bad

  10. Hi! As I was writing an essay, I thought of something awesome:

The swiggley lines under the words on a writing program on the computer to tell you that you spelled something wrong (ex: Microsoft Word)!

    1. haha i like when it says you spelled something wrong or its grammatically wrong but Microsoft is actually wrong

    1. I’d have to say DMB’s “All Along the Watchtower” … esp. when they played it at their homecoming with Neil Young.

  11. Laundry day, Laundry day, Laundry day.
    Pure awesome-ness.

First, you get to gather up your clothes, and put them in the washer, adding blue liquid all over them. Awesome? Yes.
Then, you get to turn the machine on, and watch your clothes being washed! Way more awesome.
Afterwards, you put your washed clothes into the dryer, and you get to change the lint trap. That’s always fun!
When you hear the buzzer that lets you know your clothes are done, you open the dryer, and get a giant whiff of fabric softener. If you’re smart, you’d get a nice smelling kind.
THEN! The best part ever!! You get to wear whatever you want to wear that day, or the next day depending on when you do laundry! You get to wear nice smelling, warm clothes, and your favorite ones at that!

  12. 1. Driving on the highway and seeing a wild animal in its environment.
    2. Pulling on comfortable clothes that still smell like a campfire.
    3. Seeing people in volkswagen vans with the poptops.
    4. That spot on the highway where you can see the mountains for the first time (are those clouds?).
    5. Leaving on a trip, waking up early to pack the car, going on a road trip to someplace you’ve never been.

Awesome. Wonderful blog that got me thinking. Thanks.

  13. Cars with hydraulics, or seeing an old hoopdie with 22″ rims on it! There’s one in my neighborhood, and it’s so obnoxious that it’s awesome.

  14. being on diet and then one morning you see that the weight’s prefix has changed. let’s say from 61 kg to 59 :)

  15. That feeling just before you go to sleep when you are stil awake and you think to yourself @I am falling asleeeeeeeeppppp….”

  16. Finding the last item of its kind on the clearance rack in exactly your size. This is even better if it was something you had wanted to buy before, but didn’t because it was too expensive.

  17. I haven’t read all of the comments, so someone may have written this already…. but this popped into my head immediately :
opening a new book, putting that first crease in the spine. Just beautiful.

  18. * putting on a coat I haven’t worn in months and finding money in the pocket – awesome!

    * thinking about an old friend and then opening my email account and finding a new message from them – awesome!

    * reading everyone else’s ‘awesome lists’ – isn’t life sweet?

  19. the feeling of picking an apple from a tree

the sound of walking on gravel

the sound it makes when you drive over the strips of water on the road from the sprinklers early in the morning

working out a math problem that involves multiplication, division, addition, AND subtraction to find you got the exact answer

    using a cane or crutches

  20. Seeing a dog that looks genuinely happy to be out for a walk – tail wagging, tongue hanging out, looking eagerly back at their owner.

Textbooks that have the figures the text refers to on the same page so you don’t have to flip back and forth.

Songs that you can listen to as you walk/commute/drive to school/work that make you feel as if you’re part of a music video.

  21. some of the best things are eating cereal from a cup, and footy pjs and also, ducks ARE really awesome and there was one other thing… what was it…uh, taking the best picture of something stupid and it just seems to make sense, and also…burning stuff with your magnifying glass when you’re a kid :D thanks for putting this stuff on and making me realize how awesome everything really is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  22. Looking through old cd’s and finding an old band you loved, and start listening to them again thinking why you ever stopped.

  23. buying, and then using, new art supplies.

the smell of flowers in the air even when you can’t see them yet.

    puddle jumping.

the first morning stretch where your hearing blocks for a second and you are fully satisfied.

when a toddler makes you something, anything.

    when you can’t stop smiling.

  24. Digging behind the couch and finding five paperclips, two staples, and three cents. But the best is the paperclip chain you re-re-re-rediscovered after your dog buried it four times last week.

Finding the pair to your odd sock after searching for months.

Asking your incredibly stupid friend to get dryed paint and elbow grease from the cornr shop for you.

    AWESOME!

  25. Taking your winter coat out for the first time of the year and finding money in the pocket from the previous winter.

  26. After a day at the beach (or sometimes at amusement parks) you lay down in bed close your eyes and you feel like you are drifting in the water still (or on a roller coaster) — BEST FEELING EVER!

or another good one is when you come home angry or tired and open the front door and there is your dog wagging his tail.

  27. Peeling the seal off of a Pillsbury can of rolls awaiting the pop only to be inevitably startled when it does in fact happen.
